56km Campaign – Darryl Howe, Miracle Man

DAZ became the first ever cerebral palsy runner to cross the Two Oceans ultra marathon finish line – against all odds – in just over 10 hours
Daz achieved his dream and inspired hundreds of runners and supporters with his ‘never give up’ attitude and his belief that *”nothing is impossible unless you yourself make it impossible”*
Daz conquered the ultra marathon to raise funds for disadvantaged kids through the JAG Sports and Education Foundation’s Mighty Metres programme.
Daz visited the Mighty Metres children from Levana Primary in Lavender Hill on the day of their quarterly prize giving.
The children at Levana have run a collective 13,501 kms in the 1st quarter of 2008. Daz rewarded them with Mighty Metres certificates, caps and t-shirts.
He also ran with the kids, encouraging them to overcome extreme adversity in search of their dreams.
Thanks to Daz’s heroic effort 360 more children to date have been able to join the Mighty Metres programme.
The JAG Foundation is inspired by Daz’s generous commitment to South African children and his unconquerable spirit.
Congratulations Daz!
